This moment changes everything
I may not be able to run, ski or climb right now - but I can walk. Paint. Bake. Read books. Write. To name a few things.
Today I choose to see opportunities instead of limitations. Witness the beauty in the small things rather than listing all the things that don’t go the way I had planned, and then beating myself up for it.
I choose to be in the present, instead of wishing I could go back to the past or worrying about what the future will be like.
I choose to focus on what I can do, instead of what I can’t. To acknowledge that I am worthy, no matter what I achieve or don’t.
And before I know it I will be lacing up my running shoes again and going about my day as if nothing ever happened.
But deep within I will know then what I’ve come to understand now; this moment — it changes everything.
How you respond to the current state of things is a choice. It’s one your making every day. And today, I choose kindness.
