Not all days are good days — Tjurruset 10 km
Felt like a bag of 💩 today, which somehow matched perfectly with today’s objective @tjurruset_swe 10 km 💩💦
Really unique course with lots of mud, swamps and technical trails
& I would probaby have enjoyed it more if I’d felt better. Already yesterday I had problems with an upset stomach and an elevated HR. This morning it only got worse and I wasn’t even sure it was such a smart idea to try to race.
But on the way to the start I felt a bit better and decided to give it a go anyway. Already after 3 km I had to stop (!!) at the first aid station due to back cramps from hell. In that moment it was clear to me: it’s that time of the month 😎 My body officially wins the prize for the worst timing ever 🤘🏼
I decided to keep going, lowering my pace and HR and basically just trying to survive until the end.
I finished 11th female / 551 and although I’m far from satisfied with my result, I’m proud that I didn’t give up today. More than anything it was a good reminder that there are good days and there are bad days. Time to assess and then come back stronger next time
Thanks to @tjurruset_swe for putting up an incredible event today. My favorite part was every time I passed the volunteers on the course and they cheered like there was no tomorrow!
